Live life to the fullest;
these will be the best years of your life.
All things the outside world will tell you.
Little do they know; I resented them.
Every single time I was told that lie;
I was never educated of the danger ahead.

A soul with no face is a lonely embrace.

I lost my conscience floating in the wind,
long before I realized the value of it.
Before I distinguished that those around me
preyed on me like merciless beings.
Loving when pieces of my heart left trails,
leading right to my cracked and blacked skin.
Almost as if the breaking of my essence;
was a remedy for their malevolence.

A soul with no face is a lonely embrace.

Looking in the mirror for the first time,
there was no presence looking back at me.
Now I can see that I was the vicious predator,
the one that told lies to pure premature souls,
knowing the fragile ones wouldn’t survive.
Praying their downfall will heal my own.

A soul with no face is a lonely embrace.
